How to make a booking
You can Book Online with a 25% deposit using a debit or credit card.
We can take bookings over the phone with either a debt or a credit card. We take the 25% of the booking for confirmation of the booking. A confirmation email will then be sent to you stating the dates and details of your stay. We then take the remainder of the booking plus the damages deposit 1 month prior to the date of the booking.
Your booking can only be confirmed once we have received the 25% deposit, we are unable to hold dates.
The damages deposit will be refunded unless there are damages to the property. If damages are found you will be liable for these and will forfeit your deposit, you will be liable for any further damage costs to the cabin.
A confirmation will be sent to you via email when your payment has been received.
Cancellation and deposit:
Tell us immediately by telephone and then in writing where upon we will, without prejudice to our right to the rent in full, make every effort to re-let the property and refund your money, minus a 10% administration fee (calculated on the whole amount of the booking). You will be liable for the rent in full if we cannot re-let the cabin for the dates you have cancelled or moved. We recommend you take out holiday insurance in case you should need to cancel & we are unable to offer a refund.
The Damages Deposit will be taken 1 month before the booking. If it is deemed there are no damages to the cabin it will be refunded after your stay to your card. If damages are present you will be liable for these costs and will forfeit your deposit. You will be liable for any extra costs of damages to the cabin.
Rental periods can vary from 1 night to 3 weeks. Charges are based on a per night basis.
Occupancy of the property must not exceed the occupancy stated on the booking. We reserve the right to refuse occupancy if the numbers exceed this. The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.
Linen, towels and duvets are provided along with a selection of environmentally friendly toiletries.
Dogs are welcome, but they are not allowed upstairs at any time. The Hidden River House is not dog Friendly.
All Accommodations and public areas are strictly no smoking.
All logs are provided for the wood burner.
Please observe all close fishing periods for various species and size limitations when taking fish and record your catches in the book provided.
Please return all Sea Trout over 5lb. They don’t taste as good but do provide valuable genes for spawning.
Please treat the surroundings with care in order to keep them how they are for the permanent residents of the woods.
No fires at any time
Please don’t pick the wild flowers, refrain from smoking in the cabin and please leave the cabin and surroundings as you found them for others to enjoy.
No Canoeing or boat activity on the river.
Absolutely no shooting at anytime and guests who are found to be using a gun will be asked to leave with their booking forfeited and cancelled.
The surroundings are wild with obvious dangers such as a fast flowing river and cliffs.
We do not accept responsibility for any injuries to any persons however incurred whilst at the cabin.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
You can park your cars right next to the cabin and house. Maximum of 3 cars per cabin. Maximum of 5 cars for the Hidden River House.
Your nearest convenience store is located at Longtown, a 6 mile drive from the site.

Longtown bus stop is the nearest link to public transport which is located 6 miles drive from Hidden River Cabins
