Bring along your pets for FREE to our dog friendly log cabins and let them enjoy the sites and smells of the forest and riverside walks that we have to offer. At Hidden River Cabins we believe in offering dog friendly accommodation. All dogs are welcome to sleep in the cabin as long as they have their own beds downstairs.

Our dog friendly log cabins in the Lake District will provide a soothing and relaxing holiday for you, and your best friend! Pet friendly holidays can be difficult to find and we understand this as dog owners ourselves, we encourage dogs here. There is a warm cosy wood burner in the living area dogs will love to sleep next to.

Dogs are also allowed in our reception and onsite restaurant area on leads. Please book if you are coming for an evening meal as the cafe can get booked up in the evening and during the day. There is a dog bowl provided for thirsty dogs after a long walk in the woods. We also have a wood burner for them to warm themselves if it is raining.

There are activities in the area where you can take your dog, for example, Honister Slate Mine near Keswick. This, the last working slate mine in England has fully guided tours. Why not take your dog to the Lake District and enjoy one of the many fell walks it has to offer.

Plenty of space to roam in our pet friendly accommodation…

Take your four legged friend on a woodland walk along the river with the freedom of the whole woods. There is also a National Trust walk along the River Lyne that dogs are very keen on. Dogs especially enjoy Hidden River Cabins as they have plenty of space to roam around outside the log cabin, due to the cabins being so secluded and private, perfect surroundings to enjoy your dog friendly log cabin, right next to the Lake District.

Please be aware the river can be fast flowing at times so it may not be safe for your dog to swim at certain times. Please ask at reception for more information. We only ask…

The only thing we ask is that your dogs enjoy the woods and river around them supervised by you! Please don’t leave dogs unattended in the cabins for obvious reasons. We thoroughly clean our pet friendly accommodation to minimise any issues with allergies.

It can be difficult to find dog friendly accommodation in the Lake District. At Hidden River Cabins you can bring your dog along for free. Unlike other log cabins, we don’t charge for dogs. We only ask that you clean up after your dog if they get caught short in the cabin grounds. It also might be a good idea for your dog to wear a collar with its name on it in case it feels like going on a mini jaunt around the grounds. Dogs need a holiday too and as a nation of dog lovers it is only natural that they would come along with you to your pet friendly accommodation.
