Team Building Ideas
Having hosted some very exciting corporate events so far we do have a few ideas up our sleeves to make your retreat very enjoyable.
Darren Morgan from Independent Adventure works closely with us and provides some fantastic team building opportunities. Here listed are just a few:
A shared experience for the group. Archery is a very inclusive activity and a great idea for corporate team building. Under the supervision of a qualified and experienced coach, your team will learn a new skill, and very quickly build confidence as they improve. A combination of personal, interpersonal and team games and competitions will act to bring the group together as they share in a fun, new activity.
Canoeing – (This can be done on Talkin Tarn – 20 minutes drive away)
Communication is key to the success of this activity and the benefits of this are seen immediately. A number of games and challenges are incorporated into the activity depending on your desired outcomes.
Clay pigeon shooting
Ideal for corporate entertainment and group events. An experienced instructors will provide one to one tuition to ensure that every member of your group are hitting clays in no time at all. Participants will shoot a variety of clay targets from various angles and speeds. Following a short practice, you will enter into friendly competition with your friends and colleagues.
Break the ice with this fun entertainment idea, the ultimate test of your communication skills, perfect for office away days. Learn to work with our friendly, trained working collie as you guide our raft of ducks around our specially designed obstacle course. Stay alert as the ducks have a mind of their own and love to show off.
Kayaking – this can be done on Talkin Tarn, 20 minutes drive away
With greater personal responsibility than our other activities, we find that this is a great activity for building confidence. It also provides a brilliant opportunity for support within the team and we introduce a range of team games and challenges to suit your desired outcomes.
The sense of satisfaction and pride as your team build their own raft and then enjoy its maiden voyage together will be incredible. This is a great teamwork exercise. Our experienced instructors will introduce them to some simple knots and discuss key elements of the design, we will then be on hand to assist where necessary as your team trust one another to build a solid vessel. Once afloat, we will introduce further fun challenges to build trust and confidence.
The Treasure Chest
A range of bespoke challenges, such as giant buzz wires and mazes, will be selected to suit your desired outcomes. Each
challenge will involve the whole team in order to succeed. Introduced at the beginning of the session, teams will compete to be the first to attempt to open a treasure chest full of prizes – only possible if they have demonstrated all the skills required to complete the challenges successfully, with many laughs along the way. This is a great idea for corporate events.
Trebuchet building and corporate event planning
